SUTS



After covering SUTS for the past few years, I figured it was time to give it its own section here on All Things Vintage. SUTS is another way of bringing back the original concept of this site by taking the focus back to classic movies. I started Classic Reviews for Classic Movies in August 2010, but after changing the site to All Things Vintage in January 2013 the movies became a bit of a side note. TNT is a weekly feature that integrates a little of that original concept into the current theme, but other than that, the site doesn't often focus on movies anymore.

Summer Under the Stars is an annual promotion by TCM in which they block out all regular programming and celebrate 31 different actors and actresses. Each day features someone new and they each get 24 hours dedicated to their bodies of work. With August also being the anniversary of the blog, it seemed like the perfect thing for me to participate in on my own site.

Each year I release a Preview shortly before the promotion begins, with a complete list of the actors being featured that year. Each day I post the schedule at 2am EST because the lineup refreshes at 4am EST rather than midnight, and I want it to be up in time for you to have a look through it. Along with the day's schedule I choose a Daily Cinema, which is just a featured film that I either haven't seen or haven't featured before, rather than trying to watch the entire day of movies. I've been covering the promotion since 2013, so I thought I'd make a page to document all previous years as well as the Daily Cinemas that I chose for each star.
