Born to Kill stars Lawrence Tierney as a murderous, recently jilted man named Sam responsible for the deaths of his girlfriend and her gentleman friend. Claire Trevor co-stars as a recent divorcee named Helen and the neighbor to Sam's murdered girlfriend. After coming to see her at her new place in San Francisco, Sam meets and marries Helen's sister, while Helen becomes engaged herself. The two engage in an affair, with Helen knowing Sam's former deeds the entire time. His homicidal actions catch up with both of them, as more people eventually get dragged into Sam's web.
