My From the ... Files series was started because while I was trying to immerse myself a bit more in everything vintage, I wasn't quite sure where to look for it. I wanted to find places that had a strong vintage presence, so I chose these four sites so I could see what vintage looked like in different places on the Net. On occasion--twice, to be exact lol--there was an Extra File, if I found enough things to pull together a list. The way it worked was each site was given its own week, and each week we'd peek in on that site and I'd show some of the vintage stuff I found. Once I started doing themes on the site, the Files posts would take on the same theme and while that freshened up the content for awhile it also made it a bit harder to do, because not every site had that month's theme.
I put From the ... Files on an indefinite hiatus in 2016, probably around the same time all of the other content was put on the shelf, because I noticed some of the sites starting to go stale with their vintage offerings. I had been waffling with it for some time because I'd been having trouble with the series from jump and some of the sites had such similar clothing that I started to feel like I was repeating myself. I may restart the series one day, but I'll probably switch out some sites for others. Now do you care about anything I just said? Probably not. But as you'll see is usually the case with me, I do what I want 😎, which often includes offering my unneeded backstories and details. lol Enjoy!
