From the Etsy Files...

Hi! This week we're still focusing on spring a bit, but whereas the other entries were focusing on one specific section of spring, this one might encompass a few different areas. The second week of Coachella kicks off this weekend, and since I view that as the closest thing to Woodstock we'll ever get, I like looking at the various interpretations of boho chic in the festival photos. So in addition to the items I find for spring, there'll probably be a few festival-friendly items in here too.

Vintage Hippie Dress Vintage Hippy Dress Vintage Boho Dress White Dress Vintage 70s Floral Maxi Dress S M Festival Dress Halter Dress

The item: Vintage seventies FLORAL HALTER MAXI DRESS. Smocked bodice. Zips up back. Accessories are not included. We just love, love, love this dress & we know that you will too! ***Please note: Our model is 5'9 & normally wears a 3 in jeans or a size 2 dress.

Mild spring weather will soon be giving way to hotter than Satan's taint Texas summer weather, so light-colored dresses in a lighter, more flowy material like this one would suit me nicely. I love how the bodice is different from the bottom half of the dress; the two styles contrast well and help break up the print. For a festival or outdoor event, this would be a good choice although I don't co-sign those heels. They're super cute, but you already know I'm not about that heeled life. lol

Vintage 80's Oversized Sunglasses - Designer Sunglasses - Black Brown Frame - Guy Laroche - Boho Festival Sunglasses - Authentic Dead Stock

Rare Authentic 80's Vintage Guy Laroche Sunglasses Label ♥︎ Guy LarocheEra ♥︎ 1980's Model No ♥︎ 5206Frame Colour ♥︎ Brown, Black, Gold Lenses ♥︎ Black Gradient Condition ♥︎ Fabulous Vintage Condition Dead Stock Minimal to No Scratches On Lenses.

Another Files, another picture of sunglasses. These are an '80s model, but I love the tortoiseshell cat-eye detailing across the top. I also like the gold triangular accents on the sides and at the top of the nose bridge. I will never be here for a $95 pair of sunglasses, no matter how cute they are, but I love them regardless.

1950s quilted print novelty vintage skirt / vintage 50s full skirt

Vintage 1950s quilted cotton sweep full skirt, rare red lion novelty print thoughout, high waist fit, side metal zipper for closure. ✂------m e a s u r e m e n t s------- best fit: xxs waist: 23"hips: open fit total length: 27" material: cotton condition: excellent. . . .

This skirt is sold in one of my favorite vintage shops on Etsy, Simplicity is Bliss. They were featured in one of the installments of the Instagram series and I've been stalking their IG feed ever since. lol This is a full, quilted skirt and even though the detailing looks orange to me, the listing says that the print is actually red. I like the side zipper as well as the high-waist, but this would be one of those skirts that I'd probably struggle to eat in if the waistband is structured rather than stretchy. I can't see myself being comfortable with pushing my food up to my sternum just because I felt like looking cute for a day.

Levis 501 Shorts Levi High Waisted Denim Shorts Levis Shorts Vintage Levi High Waisted Jean Shorts High Waist Shorts Denim Cutoffs waist 29

Levi 501 high waisted Indigo denim cutoff exposed pocket vintage shorts. These denim cutoffs feature, Levi logo button fly, classic 5 pocket

This entry probably doesn't look like much and I suppose it isn't; it's just a pair of high-waisted Levi cutoffs. I like that instead of the zipper and button closures, this one just has button closures. These are a bit different from the more grunge, ripped cutoffs that are back in fashion today (which I have a few pairs of and adore to pieces lol), which is why I like them. I remember when wearing jean cutoff shorts didn't mean you were chic, it meant you were poor and those shorts were, at one time, jeans. LOL At least that's how it was in my neck of the woods when I was a kid.

Adorable Little Bunny Earrings Swing into Spring Easter Fun Whimsical Plastic Dangling Bunnies on Swings French Wire Pierced Earrings

These earrings are so incredibly cute. Whether you're ready to swing into spring or want a fun Easter Bunny statement, these two bunnies swinging are fun, whimsical, and unique. Made of a molded plastic, the swings are a pastel yellow, with plump little white bunnies. They hang from French wires and are for pierced ears.

I know Easter's over, but these little bunny earrings were too cute to pass up. In addition to the corny holiday-themed headbands and too-large fascinators that I hold dear, I also love kitschy earrings and jewelry (but mainly earrings). These cute bunnies on swings would have been perfect with a few of the dresses I featured in this month's eBay and Pinterest Files.

Vintage 1950's 50s Coral Pink Purple Watercolor Impressionist Floral Print Chiffon Organza Circle Skirt Prom Party Wedding Dress

Description An absolutely lovely 1950's party dress in an exquisite floral print chiffon organza. An eye catching blend of watercolour shades - coral, fuschia, lilac, eggplant, olive green and cream. The style typifies the 50's - oh so feminine and figure flattering - perfect to accentuate a narrow waist.

You need to click on this listing to get the full idea of what it looks like. I think it's beautiful. This would be such a nice dress to wear to an outdoor festival or for a vintage-themed photoshoot in a park. I'd love to see how the skirt would look spread out over the grass. I also like the watercolor type of design in the dress; rather than the regular floral print this looks a bit softer and I like how it all comes together.

40s 1940s repro vintage women's sewing pattern crop top playsuit shorts beach romper bust 32 b32 reproduction English and French

Due to the popular feedback on some of the vintage patterns in our shop, we wanted to make the rare and particularly unique patterns accessible to more home sewers at a reasonable price. A great deal of love and care was invested in digitizing this pattern using professional, industry grade pattern-making software and printed on high quality 36" wide white paper.
I feel about these playsuit patterns the same way I feel about my dreams of baking bread. I often talk about how much I'd like to complete these things and I'd love to show off my skills someday, but I have yet to do either one. I don't ever see playsuits or jumpsuits where I live, and if I was able to make my own and wear it out somewhere it'd be superb. I'm more partial to the white and striped suits; what about you?

Vintage 30s Wedding Dress - Embroidered Net Lace - Nouveau Cannabis Embroidery

We are pleased to offer you this awesome non-traditional wedding dress or "high" society party dress from the late 1930's. FABRIC:This is made of a peachy-pink sheer cotton tulle net with exquisite Art Nouveau embroidery in the shape of cannabis leaves and scrolling vines.
And finally, with it being 4/20 today I had to end this on a cannabis-related note. It's also a throwback; I featured this during ATV's second Etsy Files a few years ago and I never fully got it out of my mind. I'm not a pot smoker myself, but how could I pass up the opportunity to end the post with this dress? I said it then and I'll say it again--that mannequin is giving mad body here, right?
That's all I've got this week. Next week will be an Extra File, where I pull together the random vintage things I've come across on the 'Net this month. There have been a ton of things I've been waiting to show, so hopefully I'll be able to get it together and not make the Extra File the length of a Spotlight post (which I haven't forgotten about, it's coming). In case I didn't encourage you enough on Monday, join me for tomorrow's TNT; Some Like it Hot is hilarious and I'd rather not watch it alone. See you soon!
