I'm glad that Wizard of Oz isn't on this list. I loved the movie....the first 15 or so times that I watched it. I think I've seen it too much though and I also think that there are other fantastic movies that Judy Garland did that sort of get overshadowed by Wizard of Oz since it's arguably what she was most known for, so it's nice to see that TCM allowed it to take a backseat this year. Anywho, In The Good Old Summertime is a musical romance film starring Judy alongside Van Johnson as they play bickering coworkers and, unbeknownst to either of them, anonymous pen pals. I picked this because even though it's a musical, the concept of them being friends by mail and enemies in person is pretty funny and I want to see how it plays out. Today's hashtag is #GarlandTCM, and if you're watching our daily cinema let me in too, just use #atvgarland so I can see your tweets. See you tomorrow!
