Haunted Honeymoon is a comedy that stars Robert Montgomery as British detective Lord Peter Wimsey alongside Constance Cummings as his soon-to-be wife Harriet. After the two get married, they discover a dead body in their honeymoon suite. I'm a staunch Poirot fan, so I have to admit that I don't know too much about other detectives. What can I say, I'm loyal. LOL The only reason I'd heard of Lord Peter Wimsey is from an episode of Frasier. Niles throws a Halloween party at his condo with a literary theme, and Martin wants to show up as Sherlock. The party store was sold out of Sherlock costumes, so Niles buys him a Wimsey costume. Martin has none of it and tells Niles, "I'm not going anywhere where I have to tell people my name's Wimsey." Long and unnecessary anecdote I know, but I thought it was funny and that's where I first heard the name. Anyway, this film's on rather early and I apologize; this initially wasn't the film I'd chosen. I'd actually chosen In the Cool of the Day, but because I found out afterward that Constance Cummings was only a supporting player, I switched it to a film in which she had a larger part. I also wasn't able to find any download links so you might want to DVR it if you haven't seen it yet. Hope you enjoy and I'll see you tomorrow!
