SUTS Day 15: Faye Dunaway

Faye Dunaway marks the halfway point in this year's SUTS as the featured star for Day 15.

Today's lineup: (all times in EST)
6:00 AM The Extraordinary Seaman (1969)

7:30 AM The Happening (1967)

*TCM Movie Debut: 9:30 AM Cold Sassy Tree (1989)*

11:15 AM The Champ (1979)

1:30 PM Oklahoma Crude (1973)

3:30 PM Bonnie and Clyde (1967)

5:30 PM Little Big Man (1970)

8:00 PM The Three Musketeers (1973)

10:00 PM Three Days of the Condor (1975)

*Daily Cinema: 12:00 AM Chinatown (1974)*

2:15 AM The Arrangement (1969)

4:30 AM A Place for Lovers (1969)

I'm not surprised at all that Mommie Dearest isn't on today's lineup; not only was it a near fatal career move for Faye Dunaway, but it was also sort of disparaging to Joan Crawford, and TCM clearly has a lot of respect for her so I'm not surprised that the movie was left off of today's lineup. Even though the temptation was strong to make Bonnie & Clyde our Daily Cinema, especially with the remake having recently debuted a few months ago, I wanted to go with something different so I chose Chinatown instead. Chinatown stars a California-based private eye who unintentionally sets an innocent person up for murder, then has to uncover the real story behind it alongside the man's widow.

Today's Twitter tags are #DunawayTCM for the day's movies and #atvdunaway for our Daily Cinema. How are you enjoying this year's SUTS so far? It's been near torture for me to have to go through all of these movies and not be able to watch 98% of them so I hope you're enjoying. See you tomorrow!
