Daily Cinema: 20,000 Years in Sing Sing (1932)

This Pre-Code drama stars Spencer Tracy as a veteran criminal named Tommy who gets sentenced to hard time in Sing Sing Prison for an armed robbery and struggles to acclimate to his new surroundings. His girlfriend Fay (Bette Davis) routinely visits him and does her best to try and make things easier in prison for Tommy, including snuggling up to the warden. This is a very important fact because when she later murders someone while Tommy has a 24-hr pass to see her, Tommy ends up taking the rap to protect her. This is another early film and because it's Pre-Code, it's not on any regular streaming sites so better to just DVR it if you can't catch it. See you tomorrow!
