Gold Diggers of 1933 stars Ruby Keeler as Polly, one of four aspiring actresses working as chorus girls. When the show that they are all in is threatened with a shutdown, Polly's boyfriend offers to step in and help them with financial backing. All of the girls have aspirations of someday marrying up and no longer living in their shabby apartment, and we get to see if the ladies get the men of their financial dreams or not.
