Daily Cinema: The Ex-Mrs. Bradford (1936)
The Ex-Mrs. Bradford is a suspense-comedy film that stars Jean Arthur as a murder-mystery author named Paula who brings her reluctant ex-husband Brad into the fold of a real-life mystery, a jockey who mysteriously dies in the middle of a race. Already familiar with his ex-wife bringing him into real-life cases, Brad wants no part of it, but with the horse's trainer on board with Paula's suspicion of murder, he begins to investigate. A second murder fully tosses Brad into the case, as he becomes the police's prime suspect. Paula and Brad then have to solve both murders to clear Brad's name. This film airs in the morning but isn't terribly early (or late) as many of my other choices so hopefully you'll be able to catch it. See you tomorrow!
