Daily Cinema: Tomorrow, The World! (1944)

Today's Daily Cinema is the first film in the lineup so you may want to set your DVRs now in case you're in bed by the time it airs. Tomorrow, The World! is a wartime drama about a family having to live with intolerance and attempt to reverse the effects of Nazism in their young German relative. The family realizes the boy has been fully brainwashed with Nazi propaganda before coming to live with them in America and as such, has all the makings of an intolerant, racist young adult. Agnes Moorehead is the boy's aunt, a staunch anti-Nazi who, I imagine, does battle with him throughout the movie about his beliefs.

We're on a few alerts today; Citizen Kane airs this afternoon and two Previous Daily Cinema picks, the family drama The Magnificent Ambersons and the romance Mrs. Parkington, air one after the other later this evening. See you tomorrow!
