After looking at more of Rex Ingram's work, I'm a little confused as to why there are so many shorts in the evening lineup when it could be just as full of movies as the other days, but I don't create the lineups so I'll never know the answer to that one. Today's #atvdailycinema is The Green Pastures, a drama that puts a new spin on Bible stories by re-enacting and integrating them into African-American folklore, along with a look into what heaven might be like. Today's star plays De Lawd, which, if I'm being honest, is kinda what sold me on choosing the film. lol Happy viewing!
