Today marks this year's first #atvdailycinema silent film! I mentioned last year that I'm a sucker for a great silent film and for all the silents that were shown during last year's SUTS that I didn't get to see, this year I get to make up for it. I chose A Woman of Paris for today's featured film, which co-stars today's star, Adolphe Menjou, with Edna Purviance in a film about a woman who, after assuming she'd been rejected by her fiance, flees her life for Paris, where she becomes mistress to a wealthy man there. Charlie Chaplin directed this movie but instead of starring or even having a supporting role, has a very under-the-radar cameo. I think this would be awesome with dialogue, so I'd like to see how it works with no dialogue at all. Hope you enjoy and happy viewing!
