I had a hard time choosing a movie for today's Daily Cinema. The original Scarface is part of today's lineup, and since most people I know have only watched the Al Pacino version (which is also now a classic), having the original accessible to us today is an opportunity I didn't want to pass up. Ultimately, though, I went with Bordertown, which stars Paul Muni alongside Bette Davis, as the former plays a new lawyer down on his luck who moves to a small town and the latter an unhappy wife on the edge of mental illness who sets her eyes on Muni's character Johnny. It seemed like an intense film, a drastic change from yesterday's Ball of Fire. By the way, what'd you think of that flick? Anyway, today's TCM hashtag is #MuniTCM, and if you watch our Daily Cinema use #atvmuni so I can see what you think of the movie. See you tomorrow!
