Daily Cinema: The Body Snatcher (1945)

In this horror flick loosely based off of the West Port murders of 1828, Henry Daniell stars as a doctor in need of cadavers in order to continue his medical experiments. Boris Karloff co-stars as a strange man named Gray who drives a cab by day but robs graves by night. After helping the doctor gain a couple of corpses in order to continue his experiments, Gray then begins to blackmail and taunt the man, to the disgust of the doctor's assistant Joseph. Bela Lugosi plays the part of Joseph, and this is said to be his last film pairing with Karloff. This comes on rather late and even though I didn't do it on purpose, there's no better time to watch an old-school horror flick. Since it's Friday, you can stay up late and watch it with me too, so I hope you do. When I tell you it was difficult to pick a Daily Cinema today, it was hard with a capital D. lol We're on two Previous TNT Alerts and if you're new to the original Frankenstein movies, I suggest watching Frankenstein before watching our Previous TNT flick of BoF. As always, I hope you enjoyed today's post and I'll see you tomorrow!
