Howdy! With today being the last day of SUTS, it makes sense that we'd be back to business as usual today as well. We get to kick off our return to just one movie a week by watching the 1939 war drama Beau Geste.
TCM is featuring Susan Hayward throughout the month of September, so every Thursday we get to watch another of her movies. It kind of keeps the SUTS theme going a little bit since she wasn't featured this month, but each week we get another one of her films. Beau Geste is about three brothers who all join the French foreign legion and have to contend with Arabs and a crazy sergeant. Gary Cooper, Ray Milland and Robert Preston star alongside Susan Hayward in this movie, where she plays the ward of the brothers' adopted mother and later one of the boys' wives. Here's the trailer:
