Howdy! This week's TNT is the 1937 drama In Old Chicago.

This movie stars Tyrone Power and Don Ameche as two of the sons of the infamous Mrs. O'Leary, whose cow started the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. In this loosely inspired prequel to this chain of events, the brothers grow up and become both political rivals, as one hitches his hat to one side of the law while his brother hitches his to the other. The third O'Leary son stays behind to help their mother with her laundry business. The movie follows the paths of all three brothers as they each find...or lose...their way in Chicago. I'm kinda excited to see this movie; the only movie I'd seen Don Ameche in until this one was Trading Places. lol I'm also not very familiar with the Great Chicago Fire but even though this is just a fictionalized account I'm still intrigued to hear how this was all wrapped up in there as a prequel.
