Thursday night is documentary night on TCM, and they chose to start things off with the 1968 film Salesman.
This documentary was filmed by two brothers, Albert and David Maysles, as they captured the efforts of four door-to-door Bible salesmen in Florida and New England. The brothers had once been salesmen themselves, and they put the documentary together in hopes of making the first nonfiction feature film. It was entered into the National Film Registry's preservation records in 1992. Here's a trailer:
Salesman comes on this Thursday at 8pm EST on TCM.
