So as I mentioned last month, I decided to take part in a year-long reading challenge being held by herding cats & burning soup. I decided to put that challenge on here since this is the palace of yesteryear and it didn't really fit in with the theme of my other blogs. Just to refresh, the challenge is to read at least 12 historical romances throughout 2014, and you get to choose the level/goal that you'd like to accomplish. I put my stamp on the highest level, which would be 30+ books. Now that the first month of the challenge is officially over, I wanted to do my first update on my progress. I'm moving a bit slower than I'd prefer, mainly because most of the free e-books I get are current and not historically based, but I'm working on it. I've been reading straight for the past week or so, but most of them weren't applicable for the challenge. I can't include the shelf widget because the current layout of the blog doesn't have room for adding widgets or other items, so I figured I'd just put the shelf in my monthly update posts. So without further ado, here's my (short) list:
That's right. Two books. LOL I'm disappointed in myself, honestly. I thought I would have read more historical books than that by now, but apparently not. lol No harm done though, it's only the end of the first month.
