Thursday's night of movies are all Kirk Douglas, and that small marathon begins with the 1956 drama Lust for Life.
Wikipedia
Kirk Douglas stars as Vincent van Gogh, with Anthony Quinn co-starring as van Gogh's friend Paul Gauguin. This movie depicts van Gogh's inner turmoil as an artist as well as the relationship he has with the art that consumes his mind and eventually his life. Lust for Life shows van Gogh's descent into madness as his life continues to deteriorate. This biographical film is based on the '34 book written by Irving Stone. The fact that this is a true story makes this entire thing sound so much more depressing than I already thought it was. Here is a trailer:
Lust for Life will be on at our regular TNT time of 8pm EST this Thursday.
