2014 Historical Romance Reading Challenge!

I LOOOOOOOVE me a good historical romance. I'm a complete sucker for them. Especially if the time period is anywhere in the 1800s, preferably in London at the height of a Season. I read historical romances more than I drink water. I hardly ever drink water though, so I guess that's not saying much. Point is, I love those kinds of stories. Hands down one of my favorite authors in this genre is Amanda Quick, aka Jayne Ann Krentz. She mixes in a little supernatural jazz with the time period and romance and it always makes for an exciting read. I run through her books the minute I can get my hands on them. If you're a fan of the 1800's time period, check out some historical romances. They're wonderfully written, they're accurate to the time period they were written in, and done so vividly you'd almost forget you weren't really there. Some other authors I usually gravitate to when I'm looking for historical romances are Mary Balogh, Johanna Lindsey and Julia Quinn. This is an awesome place to start if you're looking for historical romance novels. But I'm getting off point.

I'm going to be taking part in the 2014 Historical Romance Reading Challenge hosted by herding cats & burning soup!

I normally read between 1 and 5 historical romances a month, so I'm going to aim high and stamp my name on Level 4. I've never taken part in a reading challenge before, so I'm pretty excited. I think I might end up being extra anal about the organization of the list and categorize the books I read per month, I haven't decided yet...Ugh. I will, who am I kidding. lol Either way, you'll be able to see what I'm reading and I'll also include links to my Goodreads profile so you can keep up with it on there. I want you to join us; I think this is going to be so much fun! If you're interested in joining us, just sign your name in a comment and I'll make a list. And on a sorta different note, if you like book blogs, go check out the blogroll that herding cats & burning soup has up. It's extensive and I'm going to enjoy stalking it to see what I can find. LOL Happy reading!
