I've had this blog for about three years now, but I didn't start really getting active on the site until this year. As you all know, not only do I not often promote the blog but it's not part of social media either, excluding Bloglovin, which I do not consider as part of regular social media outlets. Well, ATV was not part of social media....until today!! I am really excited to announce (to whoever is even reading lol) that I have finally caved and opened a Twitter account for ATV.
I rejected it for so long because I know my vintage blog is not like many others in the vintage community so I do not have the same sort of activities to share, and the level of excitement between my life and just about all of the other gals running vintage blogs is very different. I don't have much opportunity to participate in a vintage lifestyle for both income and location reasons (there isn't a large following or attention being paid to vintage where I live) so I just speak about it, whereas the other gals actually live it or have some talent related to the lifestyle. If I could do more, I would. But for now, mine is more of an informative blog, for beginners to the world of vintage and a place where we can share our love for the lifestyle with each other. So I never felt there was reason to have things like Twitter or Facebook. Besides that, I don't have many followers right now, so I'd be posting to myself. lol
But a combined effort of realizing I was live posting my TNT reviews instead of giving an actual post-film review and making 'Mandy's note' posts like these showed me that I probably need another way to reach you all quicker. So I finally joined Twitter. I'm still debating on Facebook and Instagram, maybe if I get more followers I'll create accounts, but for now I've got Twitter and a board specifically for my vintage stuff on Pinterest. Come harass me and repin my stuff! Harass me in a good way, I mean....I's sensitive. LOL
