Thursday Night Theatre
As I mentioned in the previous post, I'm starting something new to hopefully revitalize the blog. I wanted to begin a new tradition with this that'll keep us coming back every week with something new to contribute. This is, after all, a blog about classic movies, so it can be hard to find something new since the movies are indeed classics and there is no new news to share. But even though the movies are old we still have to get some new content, which is why I started what is now going to be known as the Thursday Night Theatre.
So here's how it'll work. Every Thursday, usually at the 8pm EST primetime showing, we'll be watching that movie together. The week of the movie, probably that Sunday prior, I'll put up a little preview post of the movie with a brief synopsis and a trailer if its available. After the movie I'll do a review and you guys can comment on it if you watched it with me. At the end of the year, I want your movie list (and mine!) to have increased substantially--I keep a list of the classic movies I've watched; that's going to be its own post when I finally get around to doing it and I'll update it every Thursday--and we'll keep it going. I know that some good tv shows usually come on on Thursday (mine is Scandal lol) so it may be hard for you to tear yourself away to watch a movie, but I can always DVR that or watch it online later. Many of these movies are hard, if not impossible, to find online in their entirety for free. So if you can put away your current tv schedule once a week for a weekly venture into the Golden Age with me, please do!
