Hi! How was your weekend? This week we'll be watching the 1974 dramedy Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.

This film stars Ellen Burstyn as former singer Alice Hyatt, who finds a second chance at life after the death of her husband. As a single mother, Alice struggles to make ends meet and finds herself in a couple of precarious situations that she hadn't anticipated. These struggles, largely financial, cause Alice to find a job waiting tables to take care of her and her son, Alice meets divorced regular David (Kris Kristofferson), who is a good influence on her son. Alice creates a new life for herself, but does it include her fulfilling her long-held dream of becoming a singer? Here's a clip from the film:
