TNT Preview: Airport

'Ello! Hope you enjoyed your weekend! Let's get into the first TNT for this month, the 1970 drama Airport
Wikipedia

I've heard about this movie many times over the years, but I still haven't seen it yet. This month seems to be full of ensemble cast movies, including this one. Dean Martin and Burt Lancaster are the headliners for this movie about a bomber who plans to blow up a jet mid-flight during a storm and the airport manager who has to scramble to rescue it. Jacqueline Bisset, Maureen Stapleton (no relation to Jean, which is what I initially thought lol) and Helen Hayes are just some of the big names attached to this movie. According to TCM, even though the name of this movie and the brief synopsis do occur in the film, it takes backburner to a love triangle between two brothers and the woman they both love. Who's the lady, I wonder? I've heard awful things about the sequels to this film; this one isn't even rated very high with TCM's critics, so I'm interested to find out why. Here's the trailer:

Airport comes on at our regular TNT time of 8pm EST this Thursday.

Watch online:
iTunes ($14.99/purchase) | Vudu ($9.99/purchase) | Amazon Instant ($2.99/rent) |

By the way, we're on previous TNT alert; The Hindenburg will be on at 12:30am EST Friday. If you haven't seen the movie, I suggest that you do. I don't know if I'll be on Twitter on Thursday (yeah I will, Scandal's on so let me stop lying LOL) but if you happen to be on there during our movie, tag your movie-related tweets with #atvtnt so I can see them. See you soon!
