TNT Preview: Splendor in the Grass/ Of Human Bondage

Yes, this week is yet another Double Feature. I'm sorry. LOL I had to do it this week because the first selection is such a great movie and if you're a groupie for Warren Beatty like I am, you understand why I couldn't pass up the chance to feature one of his movies on the rare opportunity that they come close to a TNT time. Which brings me to our first selection, 1961's Splendor in the Grass. 

This movie stars Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty (in his film debut, with his fine self) as two teens who have to deal with the stresses that life throw at them, from dealing with the pressure of having sex to family drama. I saw this movie about three years ago during Warren Beatty's day for SUTS and I fell in love with him right around the same time that I realized I really liked this movie. They don't air this film often, so I had to feature it on here in case you haven't seen it yet. Here's the trailer:

Our actual TNT for this week is the 1934 drama Of Human Bondage.

This film stars Leslie Howard in the film adaptation of the 1915 novel of the same name as a medical student who falls into a deep infatuation with a vulgar waitress (Bette Davis) and her charms. A lot of the movie focuses on Howard's Philip and his infatuation with Bette's manipulative Mildred (like what I did there?), which quickly turns destructive in nature and begins to destroy his life. I didn't want to read too much of the plot but most of the movies I've seen Bette Davis in she was the good girl, so I'm interested in how well she plays the bad girl. Unfortunately, there's no trailer of this film. 
This movie will be on at our regular TNT time of 8pm EST.
