TNT Preview: The Palm Beach Story

This week's TNT comes to us via 1942's The Palm Beach Story, starring Claudette Colbert, Joel McCrea and Mary Astor. This movie is about a couple struggling to finance the husband's film career but failing to find the money to get the husband's pet project off the ground. The wife decides to 'take one for the team' by divorcing him and marrying a multimillionaire to get her hands on the money needed.

Another movie I have not seen and more stars whose names I have not heard before. This concept is really interesting to me; how does the wife end up courting this other man? Does she fall in love with him? Does Daddy Warbucks ever find out about the War he could lose for his Bucks thanks to his lovely new wife? Does this end with a 'happily ever after' for anyone? Guess we'll find out. I think this is going to be a good one. Here's the trailer:
